Kniha představuje jeden z nejstarších podrobných plánů Prahy, který byl vytvořen v letech 1790/1791 na podnět profesora pražské stavovské inženýrské školy Františka Antonína Linharta Hergeta (1741-1800). Základ knihy tvoří faksimile plánu v měřítku 1:1 s komentovaným rejstříkem a podrobným popisem. Pozornost je věnována i osobnosti F. A. L. Hergeta a okolnostem vzniku plánu. Přináší rovněž informace o jeho nedávném restaurování, které významnou měrou přispělo k zachování této unikátní kartografické památky.

The book presents one of the oldest detailed maps of Prague, created in 1790/1791 thanks to Franz Anton Leonhard Herget (1741-1800), professor at the Estates School of Engineering​. The basis of the book is a facsimile of a map on a scale of 1:1 with a commented register and a detailed description. The book focuses on the personality of F. A. L. Herget and the circumstances of the map's creation. Furthermore, provide information about its recent restoration, which contributed significantly to preserving this unique cartographic document.​
