Recenze analyzuje knihu českého badatele mladší generace – Hynka Látala – zabývající se pozdně gotickými klenbami v rakouském a bavorském Podunají a v jižních Čechách od 15. do první třetiny 16. století. Vyzdvihuje přínos knihy pro poznání stavitelství ve střední Evropě, ale kritizuje i teritoriální a tematické omezení a chybějící celoevropský kontext.

The review analyzes a book by the Czech researcher of the younger generation – Hynek Látal – dealing with late Gothic vaults in the Austrian and Bavarian Danube and in southern Bohemia from the 15th to the first third of the 16th century. It highlights the book's contribution to knowledge of construction in Central Europe, but also criticizes territorial and thematic constraints and the lack of a pan-European context.
