Cílem publikace je ukázat Krymský poloostrov jako multikulturní prostor, na jehož území se od antiky až do konce 18. století vystřídala řada etnických skupin různých konfesí. Popularizačně koncipovaná monografie přináší stručný přehled dějin Krymu od prvních zmínek až do současnosti. Pozornost je rovněž věnována literárním modelům Krymu a jejich proměnám v ruské literatuře od konce 18. století až do dnešních dnů.

The publication aims to present the Crimean Peninsula as a multicultural region, where lots of ethnic groups of different denominations replaced one another since the ancient times till the 18th century. The popularizing monograph brings a brief survey of the Crimean history from the ancient references up to the present. Attention is also paid to literary models of Crimea and their transformations in Russian literature since the 18th century until these days.
