Studie interpretuje souhrnná data zdokumentovaného souboru pamětních míst na komunismus v ČR (jejich vznik v čase a v prostoru, tematickou skladbu ad.) a blíže představuje komemoraci některých společensky zvláště reflektovaných fenoménů (ozbrojený odpor padesátých let, pražské jaro). Zabývá se také konstituováním české paměti komunismu v rámci procesu dekomunizace a komparuje vývoj se situací v dalších postkomunistických zemích.

The study interprets summary data of a documented set of places of memory of Communism in the Czech Republic (their creation in time and space, thematic composition, etc.) and presents in more detail the commemoration of some socially particularly reflected phenomena (armed resistance of the 1950s, Prague Spring). It also deals with the forming of the Czech memory of communism within the process of decommunization and compares the development with the situation in other post-communist countries.
