Článek představuje krátkou úvahu nad soudním procesem z února r. 2020 s polskými historiky holokaustu Janem Grabowskim a Barbarou Engelking, jež v Polsku provázel značný mediální zájem i výrazná politizace tématu. Článek argumentuje, že i pokud se historici dopustili ve své práci nepřesností, není úkolem soudů rozhodovat o „historické pravdě“.

The article presents a short reflection on a considerably politicized court case against Polish historians Jan Grabowski and Barbara Engelking from February 2020, which garnered much media attention in Poland. The article argues that even if the historians may have left certain inaccuracies in their work, it is not the task of courts to decide what the “historical truth” is.
