Plán adaptace lesů Beskyd na změnu klimatu reaguje na širší proces, který někdy nazýváme jako globální změna a který zahrnuje proměny planety Země v přírodní, tak rovněž v společenské sféře.
Těchto proměn vnějšího prostředí není ušetřen prakticky žádný kout České a Slovenské republiky, včetně masivu Beskyd a dalších horstev na hranici obou zemí. Měnící se podnebí dopadá na složky životního prostředí (např. na vodní režim v krajině nebo různé ekosystémy), oblasti lidské činnosti (zemědělství, lesnictví, doprava) či přímo ovlivňuje zdraví člověka.

The plan of adaptation forests of the Beskydy Mountains for climate change influences a broader process, which it sometimes defines as global change and which includes the transformation of the planet Earth into the natural and social spheres.
Virtually no corner of the Czech and Slovak Republics operates these external environment variables, including the Beskydy massifs and other mountains on the border of both countries. The changing climate has an impact on the components of the environment (eg the water regime in the region or various ecosystems), the area of ​​human activity (agriculture, forestry, transport) or directly affects human health.
