Komenský pracuje se škálou lexikálních jednotek vyjadřujících aspekty cestování a stěhování. V latině jsou to především okruhy kolem sloves a substantiv migrare – migratio, peregrinare – peregrinatio, fugere – fuga, a exilium. K tématu se Komenský vyjadřuje v učebnicích a slovnících, kde mu jde o popis a technickou stránku cestování, s motivy cestování a migrace se dále ve významnější míře setkáváme v divadelní hře Abrahamus patriarcha, v Historia persecutionum, ve XII. kap. Pampaedie a v Unum necessarium.

Comenius deploys a range of lexical items expressing the aspects of travel and migration. In Latin these are above all word families around verbs and nouns migrare – migratio, peregrinare – peregrinatio, fugere – fuga, and exilium. Comenius comments on the topic of migration in textbooks and dictionaries where he is concerned with the depiction and technical aspects of migration. Motifs of travel and migration appear more frequently in the play Abrahamus patriarcha, in Historia persecutionum, in Chapter XII of Pampaedia and in Unum necessarium.
