    The structural and magnetic properties of (Sm,Ho)2Fe17 and its nitride (Sm,Ho)2Fe17Nx prepared by high energy ball milling under various milling regimes are reported. Magnetic properties of the samples are investigated at 2–300 K in steady magnetic field up to 70 kOe and in pulsed magnetic field up to 600 kOe. Magnetic hysteresis properties study shows that ball milling enhances magnetic performance of the nitride compound making it perspective for the magnets fabrication.
