Edice představuje písemnou komunikaci T. G. Masaryka se světem Britského impéria. Zahrnuje nejen korespondenty narozené ve Velké Británii a jejích dominiích, ale i ty, kteří se tam přestěhovali nebo kvůli své profesi strávili dlouhou dobu. Svazek I obsahuje dokumenty z let 1881–1915. Masaryk je autorem 42 dopisů z celkem 193 editovaných dokumentů, psaných převážně anglicky. Vydání osvětluje Masarykovy akademické, žurnalistické a náboženské vazby na anglosaský svět a je také kritickým příspěvkem k poznávání aktivit československého zahraničního odboje a českých krajanů v Anglii během první světové války.

The edition contains T. G. Masaryk’s written communication with the world of the British Empire. It includes not only people born in Great Britain and its dominions, but also those who moved there or spent a long time there because of their profession. Volume I contains documents from 1881 to the end of 1915. Masaryk is the author of 42 letters from a total of 193 edited items mostly written in English. The edition illuminates Masaryk’s academic, journalistic and religious links to the Anglo-Saxon world and is also a critical contribution to learning about the activities of the Czechoslovak foreign resistance and Czech compatriots in England during First World War.
