Úsilí žen v českých zemích o získání volebního práva má počátky v poslední třetině 19. století a bylo završeno 29. února 1920 přijetím československé ústavy. Kapitola charakterizuje průběh tohoto procesu a způsob, jakým se ženy politické rovnoprávnosti domáhaly. Připomíná tradice, ale také nové priority a osobnosti ženského hnutí, jeho názorovou diferenciaci a dokládá význam vzdělání v boji za politická práva žen.

The efforts of women in the Czech lands to gain the right to vote begin in the last third of the 19th century and ended on February 29, 1920 with the adoption of the Czechoslovak constitution. The chapter characterizes the course of this process and the way in which women demanded political equality. It recalls traditions, but also new priorities and personalities of the women's movement, its differentiation of opinions and demonstrates the importance of education in the fight for women's political rights.
