ÚFP v rámci programu Strategie AV21 „Systémy pro jadernou energetiku“ v pátek dne 11. října organizoval workshop o příčinách havárie jaderné elektrárny Fukušima Daiči. Součástí workshopu byly přednášky „Zemětřesení a cunami v Tóhoku 2011“, kterou přednesl RNDr. Jiří Málek, Ph.D. z Ústavu struktury a mechaniky hornin AV ČR a „Havárie v JE Fukušima Daiči“, přednesená RNDr. Vladimírem Wagnerem, CSc. z Ústavu jaderné fyziky AV ČR. Další část workshopu byla věnována robotickému průzkumu poškozených jaderných reaktorů, promítání videozáznamů z tohoto průzkumu a diskusi o dopadech jaderné havárie. Workshopu se zúčastnilo více než 70 studentů, vědeckých pracovníků a dalších zájemců o problematiku jaderné energetiky.

On Friday, October 11, 2019, the workshop on “Fukushima Daichi Nuclear Power Plant - The causes of the accident, the course of the accident and the current state” was held at IPP. The workshop included lectures „The earthquake and tsunami in Tohoku 2011“, given by Dr. Jiří Málek (Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics of CAS) and „Fukushima Daichi NPP accident“, given by Dr. Vladimír Wagner (Institute of Nuclear Physics of CAS). The next part of the workshop was devoted to robotic investigation of damaged nuclear reactors, watching videos from this investigation and discussing the impacts of the nuclear accident. The workshop was attended by more than 70 students, researchers, and others interested in nuclear energy issues. The workshop was organized under the auspices of the Strategy AV21 Programme “Systems for Nuclear Energy“.
