Tématem seriálu „Jedna velikost nesedí všem“ je genderová dimenze v obsahu výzkumu. Co to vlastně znamená, ptáte se? Představte si vývojáře, jenž se snaží vytvořit kardiostimulátor, který budou používat ženy i muži. Zdá se samozřejmé, že ve vývojovém procesu budou zahrnuta obě pohlaví. Bohužel se ukazuje, že ženy při sběru dat i vyhodnocování výsledků často vypadávají, a vyvinuté technologie, postupy i léky nejsou tak úplně pro všechny, ale spíše jen pro muže. Náš seriál si klade za cíl na tento problém upozorňovat a ukázat, kde všude můžou věda a technologie fungovat lépe a odpovědněji.

The theme of the series "One size doesn’t fit all" is the gender dimension in the content of research. What does that actually mean, you ask? Imagine a developer trying to create a pacemaker to be used by both women and men. It seems obvious that both sexes will be involved in the development process. Unfortunately, it turns out that women often fall out when collecting data and evaluating results, and the developed technologies, procedures and drugs are not so completely for everyone, but rather only for men. Our series aims to highlight this issue and show where science and technology can work better and more responsibly.
