Studie sleduje pojetí Jana Husa v učebnicích dějepisu od poloviny 19. do poloviny 20. století. Dějinné zvraty se do textů promítaly jen pozvolna, stejně tak vyhraněné polohy historiografického diskurzu se zde objevovaly ve značně obroušené podobě. I přes ideologický tlak, jemuž bylo vystaveno jak husitství, tak učebnice, převládá ve školských textech kontinuita nad diskontinuitou.

The study follows the image of Jan Hus in history textbooks from the middle of the 19th century to the middle of the 20th century. Historical conditions were projected into the texts only gradually, and distinct positions of historiographical discourse appeared here in only rather diluted forms. Despite the ideological pressures which both the Hussites and textbooks have been subjected to, continuity prevails over discontinuity in school texts.
