Překlad (z angličtiny) 1. kapitoly nazvané „Cesta lidské autority“ je součástí knihy Konfuciánský ústavní systém (editoval ji D. A. Bell) současného čínského autora Ťiang Čchinga (v přepisu v pchin-jinu Jiang Qing). Ťiang Čching se zde snaží vymezit teoretické základy konfuciánského konstitucionalismu a aktualizací usiluje o jeho začlenění do hlavního proudu politického diskursu. Ťiang Čching se už od konce 80. let 20. století stával představitelem návratu konfucianismu k vlastní národní, politické a filosofické tradici a tato kniha shrnuje jeho argumenty pro vznik tříkomorového parlamentu, v němž jednu ze tří komor tvoří učenci.

The text is translation from English of the first chapter of Jiang Qing’s book A Confucian Constitutional Order: How China’s Ancient Past Can Shape Its Political Future edited by Daniel A. Bell. It is focused on contemporary form of confucianism as one of key philosophical and political traditions and its role to formulate a Confucian constitutional order that offers a compelling alternative to both the status quo in China and to a Western-style liberal democracy. He presents a comprehensive way to achieve humane authority based on three sources of political legitimacy, and he derives and defends a proposal for a tricameral legislature that would best represent the Confucian political ideal to become again an important part of mainstream political discourse.
