Monografie předkládá zpracování výzkumu neolitického sídliště, které formou záchranného archeologického výzkumu v letech 1953 až 1971 provedl pracovník Archeologického ústavu AV v Brně Rudolf Tichý. Při zpracování se ukázalo, že Mohelnice patří k neolitickým sídlištím se silně promíšeným obsahem objektů. Objekty se zřejmě zvětšovaly přestavbou domů na stejných místech v různých fázích kultury s lineární keramikou. Svoje objekty měla i lengyelská kultura, mladší kultury pravěku jsou přítomny v objektech jako intruze.

The monography presents a report on an archaeological excavation of a Neolithic settlement, carried out as series of rescue excavations from 1953 to 1971 by Rudolf Tichý from the Archaeological Institute of Academy of Science in Brno. During processing it turned out that Mohelnice belonged to a group of Neolithic settlements with strongly mixed infill of archaeological features. It seems the features were enlarged by the rebuilding of houses in the same positions during various phases of LBK. There were also features with Lengyel culture infill present and later prehistoric cultures were also found as intrusions.
