Text se zabývá architektonickým vývojem výjimečně zachovalého zemědělského stavení, domu číslo 5 ve Viganticích, v kontextu urbanistického vývoje obce. Dřevěný roubený dům patřil k jednomu z nejstarších venkovských statků ve Viganticích a je také jedním z nejstarších objektů moravského valašského domu karpatského typu. Objekt sice není chráněn jako kulturní památka, ale na druhé straně je možné studovat jeho rekonstrukce a úpravy, které byly provedeny od konce 18. do poloviny 20. století. Text sleduje transformaci vesnice z feudální do průmyslové a postindustriální a zaměřuje se na tyto změny (politické, ekonomické a sociální), které ovlivnily místní architekturu a urbanismus.

The text is dealing with the architectural development of the exceptionally well-preserved farmhouse, house number 5, in Vigantice in relation to the urbanism of the village. The wooden timbered house belonged to one of the oldest rural estates in Vigantice and is also one of the oldest local Moravian Wallachian house of the Carpathian type. The object is not protected as cultural heritage, but on the other hand it is possible to study its reconstructions and adaptations, which had been undertaken from the end of the 18th till the mid of the 20the century. The text follows its transformation from a feudal into an industrial and post-industrial village and how these changes (political, economic and social) influenced local architecture and urbanism.
