The frame-indifferent thermodynamically-consistent model of thermovis-coelasticity at large strain is formulated in the reference configuration with using theconcept of the second-grade nonsimple materials. We focus on physically correct viscousstresses that are frame indifferent under time-dependent rotations. Also elastic stressesare frame indifferent under rotations and respect positivity of thedeterminant of thedeformation gradient. The heat transfer is governed by the Fourier law in the actualdeformed configuration, which leads to a nontrivial description when pulled back into thereference configuration. Existence of weak solution in the quasistatic setting is shown by time discretization.
