This dictionary aims to provide alphabetically ordered lists of univerbates (one-word names) and their corresponding multi-word lexical units, while mapping the sources and contexts of these univerbates in contemporary written Czech as documented in the Czech National Corpus. The authors want to inform the public about the univerbates in contemporary Czech language and help the readers understand the meaning of those one-word names they hear “on the street” and do not quite understand. In the future the dictionary can provide evidence for language development.
