Ústředním předmětem jednání dvojdenní konference byla žena a její postavení v průběhu 19. a 20. století. Konference byla rozdělena do třech samostatných celků - Cesta poslání (Osudy žen a jejich uplatnění v novém prostředí), Cesta nutnosti. (Žena ve víru politických, ekonomických a geografických změn 19. a 20. století) a Cesta touhy. (Interakce a svoboda ženy v obecně společenské rovině), přičemž k nastolené problematice se vyjádřilo v samostatných vstupech 17 historiků z Velké Británie, Slovinska, Slovenska a České republiky.

The central theme of the two-day conference was the woman and her position during the 19th and 20th centuries. The conference was divided into three separate units – The Way of the Mission (Fates of the women and their fulš llment in the new milieu.), Path of Necessity (The place of women in political, economic and geographical transformations of the 19th and 20th centuries) and The Path of Desire. (Woman’s interaction and freedom in general in society) -, which were commented on by 17 historians from the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. At the same time, each unit was richly discussed.
