Cílem publikace je připomenout osobnost a dílo českého sochaře Václava Levého. Pozornost je věnována především pískovcovým skulpturám v lesích na Liběchovsku a inspirativnímu prostředí liběchovského zámku v polovině 19. století, kde tehdejší majitel panství a mecenáš Antonín Veith vytvořil významné centrum dobové kultury a vzdělanosti.

The aim of the publication is to recall the personality and work of the Czech sculptor Václav Levý. Attention is paid mainly to sandstone sculptures in the forests of the Liběchov region and the inspiring environment of the Liběchov chateau in the middle of the 19th century, where the then owner of the estate and patron Antonín Veith created an important center of contemporary culture and education.
