Výstava představuje nově identifikované kresby andělských personifikací Živlů od Josefa Führicha (1800–1876), narozeného v severočeské Chrastavě a proslaveného díky kariéře historického malíře ve Vídni. Kartóny z 2. poloviny 50. let 19. století byly určeny jako předlohy pro výzdobu novostavby katolického kostela ve čtvrti Neubau (Altlerchenfeld) ve Vídni. Jejich realizace byla součástí výmalby celého kostela podle Führichových návrhů. Tato práce je považovaná za jeden z vrcholů jeho kariéry. Kresby byly u příležitosti výstavy nově zrestaurovány.

The exhibition shows newly identified drawings of personifications of the Elements by Josef Führich, born close to Liberec in Chrastava and famed later as a history painter in Vienna. The cartons (dating to the second half of the 1850s) were intended for execution in the newly built catholic church in Altlerchenfeld (Vienna). The concept of the fresco decoration of the church interior is a late work by Führich, considered as one of his masterpieces. Thanks to the exhibition, the cartons were newly restored.
