Ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays are the most energetic particles observed, reachingorders of magnitude above the LHC energy range. The Pierre Auger Observatory, located in Mendoza province, Argentina, is the largest ultrahigh-energy cosmicray observatory in the world. Since the start of operation in 2004, theObservatory has reached unprecedented exposure and the high-quality data setspans three orders of magnitude in energy, yielding a plethora of scientificfindings. A selection of recently published results on the large andintermediate scale anisotropies in ultrahigh-energy cosmic ray arrivaldirections and search for neutrinos correlated with GW170817 is being presentedin this contribution. Implications for the future operation and motivations forthe Observatory upgrade are also briefly outlined.
