Esej představuje generační a filozofický kontext díla Roberta Kalivody. Kalivoda definoval svou pozici jako „marxofreudiánství“ – pod ekonomickou základnou analyzoval „biopsychickou“ rovinu, která určuje lidskou praxi. Nepřijal také zužování nadstavby na pouhý odlesk ekonomických vztahů. Kalivoda určil nadstavbu („duchovní skutečnost“) jako složitou strukturu specifických obsahů, formulujících naše přístupy ke skutečnosti a ovlivňující naši historickou praxi.

The essay presents the generational and philosophical context of the work of Robert Kalivoda. Kalivoda defined his position as “Marxofreudianism”–under the economic base he was analyzing a “biopsychic” dimension determining human practice. He also didn’t accept reduce the superstructure to only reflection of economic relations. Kalivoda defined the superstructure (“spiritual reality”) as a complex structure of specific contents formulating our approaches to reality and affecting our historical practices.
