Úkolem výstavy je ve zkratce seznámit diváky s dějinami, náplní a hlavními přínosy bývalých expozitur Archeologického ústavu Praha na území Čech, tj. expoziturou v Mostě a Plzni. Ty společně s expoziturou v Opavě, která příslušela Archeologickému ústavu Brno, existovaly od 50. let 20. stol. do roku 1993.

This virtual exhibition is focused on history, mission and main contribution of former branches of the Institute of Archaeology in Prague in the region of Bohemia – i.e. branch in Most and Plzeň. These two branches (with the branch in Opava which belongs to the Institute of Archaeology in Brno) existed from the 1950s to 1993.
