The focus of the present paper is to describe the book of Bartholomaeus Christelius, SJ (1624–1701), called Praecelens viduarum speculum (Brno/Brünn 1691). The book wants to celebrate Countess Františka Slawata, born of Meggau, the founder of the Jesuit college. And the text has another functions too.
