Kritický pohled na jeden z mála současných pokusů o obhajobu introspekce, ve kterém se zaměřujeme na nejasnosti kolem modalit introspektivně zaměřených mentálních stavů. Na práci vyzdvihujeme pokus o obranu introspekce v atmosféře, jež ji obecně není nakloněna, jako i přesné fenomenologické poznámky k časovosti a implcitní kauzalitě pozorovaných mentálních stavů. Upozorňujeme na problémy kolem modálního statusu introspekce, jako i úlohy jazyka při uchovávání a předávání introspektivních poznatků.

A critical reading of one of the few contemporary attempts to defend introspection, in which we concentrate on unclarities surrounding modalities of introspectively attended mental states. We positively point out an attempt to defend introspection at the time that generally rejects its contribution, as well as precise phenomenological observation on temporality and implicit causality of observed mental states. We focus on problems, related to a modal status of introspection and a role of language in preservation and transmission of introspective knowledge.
