The objective of this work is to study the differences that occurs in the behavior and properties of the emitted electron beam from the two sets of best proven dielectric materials employed [2-4]. The core metallic tips are prepared from polycrystalline 99 995 purity) W wires Analysis has been carried out for clean W emitters and after coating these tips with two types of Epoxylite 478 and EPR 4 resins For the purpose of critical comparison and analysis, a number of tungsten tips with various apex radii (very sharp) have been prepared by using electrochemical etching techniques The tips has been coated by layers of various dielectric thicknesses Their characteristics, has been recorded for before and after coating These measurements include the I-V characteristics, Fowler Nordheim F-N plots, scanning electron microscope micrographs to measure the influence of the Epoxylite resin coating thickness on the tips after coating Additionally, the special distributions recorded from the phosphorescent screen of a field electron emission microscope, has been recorded having the two sets of composite systems tested under similar conditions provided several advantages Highly interesting phenomena has been recoded which produces an opportunity to develop new type of emitter, that has the best features of each of the two systems
