This work was aimed at laboratory testing of beer (and model solution) dealcoholization using pervaporation. Four commercially available membranes from the Sulzer company were tested. The modes of performed pervaporation tests were into the vacuum and into the stripping gas (N-2). Pervaporation into the vacuum was observed to result in the precipitation of resin-like matter on the membrane permeate side. The performances of individual membranes are discussed in terms of selectivity and pervaporation fluxes.
