Předkládaná studie se zaměřuje na analýzu díla několika vybraných československých autorů, zabývajících se problematikou totalitarismu a jeho kritiky, kteří své práce píší či publikují v 70. a 80. letech 20. století (Rio Preisner, Vladimír Čermák). Jejich díla bude příspěvek zkoumat se zohledněním jejich osobní zkušenosti (srpnová invaze a následný počátek normalizace, v případě některých z nich doprovázený emigrací) a možnosti seznámit se s dobovým diskursem dané tématiky. Základní otázkou studie je, zda jejich koncepce lze zařadit do širokého proudu teorie totalitarismu.

The presented study focuses on the analysis of the work of several selected Czechoslovak authors dealing with the issue of totalitarianism and its criticism who wrote or published their works in the 1970s and 1980s (Rio Preisner, Milan Šimečka, Zdeněk Mlynář, Vladimír Čermák). The contribution studies their works, taking into account their personal experience (the August invasion and the subsequent beginning of the normalization, for some of them accompanied by emigration) and the possibility to become acquainted with the contemporary discourse of the topic in question. The fun-damental question of the study is whether their concept can be included in a broad stream of the theory of totalitarianism.
