Výstava si klade za cíl uchopit téma umělce, uměleckého ateliéru a hodnocení umění z různých současných pohledů a ukázat ho v přesazích propojujících toto téma v českém umění s evropským kontextem. Výstava pojímá dlouhé 19. století a jsou zde zastoupeny klíčové osobnosti českého i evropského umění.
The exhibition shows the theme of artists, artistic ateliers and art appreciation from various points of view and in interconnections between Czech and European art. It comprises the „long“ 19th century and shows exhibits by key Czech and European authors.
