    An article briefly presents review of results achieved by researchers of the Institute of Geonics and Brno University of Technology during laboratory and in-situ tests of removing surface layers of several concrete types (solid concretes, concretes with different physical-mechanical properties, concretes disturbed due to the lack of technological discipline and concretes enhanced by the addition of nanoparticles) and/or concretes exposed to different environmental conditions (effects of aggressive environment, frost, high temperatures or fast flowing water slurry) using several types of high-speed water jets commonly used in the rehabilitation praxis or advanced water jets the use of which is expected in the near future.
