In present work, we focused on the experimental study of bubble breakup in a turbulent flow with the presence of specific surfactant in the continuous phase. The experiments were carried out in a glass cell, where the bubbles were injected into a downward liquid flow. The liquid turbu-lent flow was formed by a set of coaxial nozzles, where the flow rate between them allowed to control the intensity of turbulence in the cell. The velocity field in the cell was characterized using the PIV technique with following estimation of the local values of energy dissipation rate E. The bubble trajectory, shape and number of bubbles formed during the breakup were record-ed by a high-speed camera and the characteristics of the breakup process were evaluated by an in-house Matlab program.
