High stability, predictable behavior, and possibility to vary catalytic parameters of conventional zeolites determine their importance for application in fine chemistry. In this chapter, zeolite-assisted acid-catalysed and redox reactions resulting in the production of fragrances, drugs, and other valuable small-scale products are discussed. Fundamental aspects and key factors influencing the catalytic activity of zeolites are considered, including characteristics such as topology of the framework, type and number of the active sites, nature of framework atoms, hydrophilicity, etc. Application of zeolites in aromatic substitution, isomerization, hydroxyalkylation, epoxidation, and other industrially important reactions is highlighted.
