    A method of identification of European freshwater fish species/lineages in biological materials and fish products using a method based on amplification of intron 1 of the gene encoding the S7 ribosomal protein RPS7 with primers which bind internally in the intron and in which the amplicons can be distinguished by length or by a specific restriction pattern of partial genomic sequence of the first intron of the S7 gene. The method consists in using of genus or group-specific primer sets, unique combination design of variable InDel-CAPS and/or SNP-CAPS markers and is qualitative.
    Patent know-how was utilized in the Contract on application of certified methodology No. R15/2017 and the Contract on application of verified technology No. R22/2018 which were concluded between the Institute of Vertebrate Biology, Czech Academy of Sciences and the company BioFish s.r.o. (Ltd.), based at Horní Paseka 40, 548 01 Ledeč nad Sázavou, Czech Republic VAT: CZ60930527, on September 6th, 2017 and December 19th, 2018, respectively. It is also used within the DNA service which is provided by the Institute of Vertebrate Biology to professional and lay public in CR and abroad. The service of fish identification according to the invention was provided to subjects as for example the University of Presov 17.
