Neurodegenerative diseases are influenced by oxidative stress. We selectively synthesized oxidized peptides with 3-nitrotyrosine (Nit), and 3-chlorotyrosine (Cly). We have investigated the influence of these oxidized tyrosines on solubility, hydrophobicity, and structure of alpha-synuclein model peptides.
