Text v přehledné a srozumitelné podobě nabízí náhled do problematiky zahraničního cestovního ruchu napříč tzv. železnou oponou v období let 1945 až 1989. Vedle vylíčení základních charakteristik a milníků celé problematiky přibližuje také rozměry dobové cestovní každodennosti spojené s obousměrným překračováním hranic (například „výměnný obchod“ či problematika pašování).

A comprehensible text offers an insight into the topic of foreign tourism across the so-called Iron Curtain in the period between 1945 and 1989. In addition to the description of basic characteristics and milestones of this traveling, there are outlined also some facts about contemporary travel everydayness associated with crossing borders, for example smuggling or black marketeering.
