The crystal growth of perovskite crystals for gamma-ray detection and by the micro-pulling-down method were presented and discussed together with brief overview of their structure and luminescence characteristics. Crystal growth of fluorides for VUV scintillators based on BaLu2F8, ErF3 and LuF3 was als presented and discussed together with their luminescence and scintillation properties.
