Stať podává základní charakteristiky tzv. spekulativní realismu, relativně nového filosofického směru, který reaguje na transcendentální a fenomenologickou kritiku klasické filosofie a pokouší se o nové zhodnocení a vůbec reaktivaci nároků spekulativního způsobu myšlení. Zároveň uvádí každý z textů, který je prezentován ve sborníku.

The text introduces basic characteristics of the so called speculative realism, relatively new philosophical current, which reacts to a transcendentalist and phenomenological critique of classical, pre-critical philosophy and endeavors to a reevaluation and reactivation of the pretensions of the speculative mode of thinking. The text also introduces each and every text presented in the anthology.
