Výsledky ze sledovaných ploch ukazují, že pomaleji rostoucí druhy (vřes obecný, brusnice borůvka a brusnice brusinka) dosahují maxima pokryvností kolem 10. roku od požáru. Následně pak jejich pokryvnosti klesají. To odpovídá i životnímu cyklu vřesu. Podstatné je, že od 10. roku po požáru začínají pokryvnosti mechů na všech sledovaných plochách dosahovat takových hodnot, které znesnadňují generativní rozmnožování vřesu, zejména klíčení. Naproti tomu hasivka, zprvu dosahující podobných pokryvností jako vřes, je časem potlačena a nestává se novou dominantou porostů.

The results from the monitored areas show that slower growing species (heather, blueberry and cranberry) reach maximum coverage around 10 years after the fire. Subsequently, their coverage decreases. This corresponds to the life cycle of the heather. What is significant is that from the 10th year after the fire, the moss coverings on all the areas under investigation begin to reach values that make it difficult to generate generative propagation of the heather, especially germination. On the other hand, the bracken, which at first reaches similar cover as the heather, is suppressed over time and does not become a new dominant feature of the stands.
