Where Czech energetics will be directed? In the first half of the 20’s, significant changes await. Nuclear power plants will be closed in Germany as well as up to 40% of coal power plants in our country. Despite that situation, Czech Republic could have enough energy. We have approx. 20% reserve of electric energy export and European market could be still oversaturated by cheap and subsidized energy, nevertheless the things can change rapidly. If we are postponing the situation, we can expect serious risk, which can influence not only energetics itself but also the whole Czech industry. In the book physical principles of energy sources, from classical vapor turbines, the source of heat can be coal, gas, oil, biomaterial burning Sun concentrators or nuclear fission (or fusion), up to water, wind and photovoltaic are described. Materials used in energy are described from classical to nanomaterials, are needed in a great amount and their future price is difficult to appraise.
