Research in the technical sciences suffered of the international cooperation and the loss contacts beyond the Iron Curtain in Czechoslovakia from 1948. The Technical Section of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences was in charge of organizing conferences with technical topics from 1954, when time to time beneficial conditions both in necessary solution of important economical demands and the particular political situation could play positive role.
