Přejatá slova anglického původu (včetně proprií) tvoří významnou část nedomácí slovní zásoby nejen v češtině. Příspěvek je zaměřen na fonetický i fonologický aspekt adaptace tohoto lexika. Východiskem je průzkum výslovnostního úzu provedený v Praze a v Brně v roce 2014 u 300 mluvčích. Anglicismů bylo analyzováno celkem 138, z toho 46 obecných slov a 92 vlastních jmen. Představeny jsou nejen obecné principy adaptace anglicismů do češtiny, ale také některé významné konkrétní jevy: způsob adaptace anglických hlásek [æ], [w], [θ].

Loanwords of the English origin (including proper names) form a substantial part of the lexicon of foreign origin not only in Czech. The paper is oriented on the phonetic/phonological aspect of adaptation of this lexicon. The data basis is formed by the pronunciation usage survey carried out in 2014 in Prague and Brno, including 300 respondents. 138 anglicisms, comprising 92 proper names and 46 common nouns and words belonging to other word classes, have been analysed. Not only general principles of adaptation of anglicisms into Czech, but also three important particular phenomena (i.e. the means of adaptation of the English sounds [æ], [w], [θ]) are presented.
