A commemorative article on life and works of world known Czech literary theoretician Lubomír Doležel (1922-2017). The study introduces to the scientific works of Lubomír Doležel. The author of the study examined theoretical and methodological suppositions of Doležel´s works and emphasized its structuralist base.
