V nesmírně rozsáhlé a rozmanité činnosti biskupa Podlahy tvořily aktivity věnované katedrále velmi významnou kapitolu. Příspěvek si všímá vybraných rysů tohoto mnohotvárného Podlahova působení s cílem demonstrovat, jak aktivity spojené s katedrálou a její dostavbou reprezentovaly svého druhu syntézu veškeré jeho odborné, vědecké i organizační práce.

In diverse activities of bishop Podlaha, the activities devoted to the cathedral played a very significant role. The article concentrates on selected features of Podlaha´s doings in this field with the aim to demonstrate the ways activities connected with the cathedral and its completion represented a kind of synthesis of his overall professional, scientific and organisational work.
