The paper discusses problems of modelling atmospheric boundary layer in the wind tunnel. 7 different surface arrangements and two measurement methods were used to show various aspects of boundary layer scaling. Universal composite velocity profile was used for estimation of the scaling parameters as friction velocity, roughness length, and boundary layer depth. The results show that the inertial sublayer is extended if spires are used, but big part of outer layer is missing. Reynolds number independence of the parameters was found and discussed.
