The nonequilibrium quantum transport theory is used to develop formula for irreversible transfer of electronic excited state (exciton), or of an electron, between two quasi-zero-dimensional nanostructures. The interaction of the electronic subsystems with the vibrations of the atomic lattices is included in a non-perturbative way. The formula should be suitable for the analysis of the light-conversion measured data and in systems with electronic charge transfer processes like the electrically conductive polymers. The properties of the formula are shown with using numerical calculations performed for two interacting quantum dots.
