Contribution summarizes findings obtained during inhalation experiments performed with mice for 6 weeks. Inhalation of PbO nanoparticles results in their accumulation not only in the organ of entry, the lungs, but they were also transported by blood to other organs causing serious damage at tissue as well as at cellular level. The exposure to high doses of such nanoparticles leads to complex symptoms affecting the entire body.
