V teoreticko-metodologickém příspěvku jsou představena možná východiska etnologického studia studené války u nás, upozorněno na probíhající výzkumy a především nastíněny základní tématické okruhy (výzkum kolektivní a individuální paměti, život lokálních komunit ve stínu železné opony, narativita a folklor silových složek, krajinně-antropologická témata), kterými by se budoucí výzkum mohl zaobírat.

The theoretical and methodological contribution introduces possible issues for the ethnological research into the Cold War in the Czech Republic, draws attention to the running research in Europe and mainly sketches the basic thematic circles the future research could deal with (e.g. collective and individual memory, everyday life of communities in the shadow of Iron Curtain, narrativity and folklore of armed forces, study of militarized landscape).
