Studovaná minerální asociace s nebývale bohatě krystalickým metaťujamunitem nebyla dosud v jáchymovském revíru zjištěna. Dosavadní nálezy většinou špatně krystalických Ca-UO2-VO4-H2O fází byly vázány na vzorky masivních tennantitů a chalkopyritů, případně s vtroušeným
chalkozínem a bornitem, jejichž součástí je jemně zrnitý uraninit. Tyto vzorky pocházely z podzemních dobývek na žíle Geister (Ondruš et al. 1997), kde vznikly subrecentním zvětráváním těchto minerálů.

An interesting association of supergene U and Y/REE minerals was found in the dump material at the Dušní (Geister) vein in the Jáchymov ore district, Czech Republic. The mineral assemblage is represented by anomalously rich and well-crystalline metatyuyamunite associated with metazeunerite and minerals of the mixite group (agardite-(Y) and goudeyite), jarosite and probably chenevixite. In this paper we present results of the complex mineralogical study.
