Článek je věnován problematice vydávání nepublikovaných Soupisů památek historických a uměleckých v království Českém. Jedná se především o otázku přístupu editora k původnímu textu a práce s ním, kdy text je nahlížen jako historický pramen a ne jako konfrontace současného stavu. Problematika vydávání je spojena ale také s přepisy epigrafických nápisů, obrazovou dokumentací, grafickou úpravou či německou mutací některých svazků.

The article deals with the issuance of unpublished manuscripts of Inventories of Historical and Artistic Monuments in the Kingdom of Bohemia. This is essentially a question of access of the editor to the original text and work with him, when the text is seen as a historical source and not as a confrontation between the status quo. The issue of extradition is associated also with transcription of the epigraphic inscriptions, pictorial documentation, graphic design and German versions of some volumes.
